Seaport fish company is looking for full-time and part-time retail sales associates. Flexible hours: will work with the right candidate to find a schedule that fits their need in accordance with business needs.
This is a rare position for an individual looking to enter the industry, offering on-the-job training and competitive wages. No experience required.
Training will include a variety of skills, including:
• Operating point of sales equipment
• Proper knife work
• Customer service techniques
• Learn ServSafe qualified standards for safe food handling.
Responsibilities will include partaking in daily retail operations such as assisting customers at the counter, stocking grocery items, taking and fulfilling orders over the phone, quality assurance of fresh product standards.

- Retail Seafood Manager Description
Our mission at Seaport Fish is to provide the freshest seafood to our valuable customers with an emphasis on incredible customer service. This position includes performing all retail tasks, such as stocking fresh seafood, produce & retail cases, working closely with our wholesale/processing division, scheduling, and overseeing daily operations.
Retail Seafood Manager responsibilities include:
Direct supervision of retail associates and operations.
Providing excellent customer service and being a role model for other associates.
Assuring that associates are following company policies and procedures, while maintaining a friendly and productive work environment.
Ideal Candidate for Retail Seafood Manager
*At least 5 years of retail market, deli, kitchen management, culinary, or butcher experience a plus.
*Strong Management Skills:
Able to manage fellow associates and procedures by building trust and creating a positive work environment.
* Excellent customer service skills: addressing the needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and model suggestive selling techniques.
* Multi-tasker: Being prepared and able to handle multiple requests, questions, and concerns simultaneously and naturally prioritize which item needs to be resolved first.
*Certifications: ServSafe Manager certification preferred. (will provide training)
